Executed by the Territorial Policy and Public Works Department of Catalan government, Generalitat de Catalunya, through the public company Aeroports de Catalunya, the Lleida-Alguaire airport project is awarded best non-residential real state developing prize.
In this project the control tower has been designed as a singular work that covers more than the structure itself, including and integrating the architectural projects of the terminal and the annexed buildings.
The combination of plants, wood and microperforated panels on the deck provides a blend of textures and tonalities that reminds the proximity of Lleida’s agricultural environment and links the airport to the region into which it is integrated.
